    Since I was 7 years old, autism has played a large role in my life. My next door neighbor Douglas was my first encounter with autism. Throughout the years as I baby sat him and spent time with his family, I got the chance to learn about the daily struggles and joys faced by both those dealing with autism and their loved ones. A dream I have had since then is to create a countryside camp for autistic children and help them create a bond to nature through equine therapy. I will realize this dream and it will all be in part to the experiences I have had and will have working for this foundation.
